Menu Uninstaller
Having desktop shortcuts on your desktop is a handy way to access your favorite applications. Want to launch your Firefox or Internet Explorer browser, simply double click the desktop shortcut. Want to access Yahoo! Messenger and communicate with your friends, simply double click the Yahoo! Messenger shortcut on your desktop.
Desktop shortcuts can also help you uninstall the applications you no longer need. What’s the point of keeping an application you no longer need? It’s only needlessly taking up space on your computer. Getting back to the topic at hand, you can use an application’s desktop shortcut to uninstall it – not by default, mind you, you can do this after you get the Roy Leizer-developed Menu Uninstaller application.
After you install the Menu Uninstaller application, when you right click on an app’s desktop shortcut, you will notice that the option to uninstall the application appears in the context menu. You can simply select “Uninstall” from the right click context menu to uninstall the app; you don’t have to waste time by going to the Control Panel. That to me seems like a great way to not waste time, a great way to get things done faster.
“But George, you said you don’t like desktop shortcuts and you don’t have desktop shortcuts on your clean desktop” some of you may say. That is true, I do not have desktop shortcuts on my desktop. I launch what I need from the Quick Launch bar or from the Start menu. The nice thing is that if you right click a shortcut in the Quick Launch or in the Start menu, you will see that the option to uninstall the application shows up in the right click context menu. So even if you don’t have desktop shortcuts, you can still easily uninstall applications from the right click context menu.
Menu Uninstaller is a free application that provides a handy way of uninstalling applications – from the right click context menu. Simply right click an application’s shortcut and select “Uninstall” from the right click context menu.
